All products are subject to availability. Once an order is placed you will receive an emailed order confirmation. You will then receive a second email containing the shipment tracking number confirming that your order has been processed, packed and dispatched.

We reserve the right to limit the quantity of products we supply. We also reserve the right to alter the terms or duration of any special offers or sale promotions. While we make every effort to only display items that are currently in stock and available to ship, there may be instances where we run out of stock of an item due to demand. In such an instance a member of our customer service team will notify you. Items in your shopping basket are not reserved until such time as the payment is actually confirmed and processed, and so may be purchased by other customers in that duration of time.

Our goal is to deliver your purchase as quickly as possible. All orders within the domestic US will be shipped on normal business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

All orders have a processing time of one to two business days if the merchandise is in stock. Orders will be shipped the same day or next business day if the order is placed by 12pm EST. Orders placed after 12pm EST may take up to two business days for order processing. The exact shipping cost for your order will be added and displayed at checkout.


PAYMENT

All prices displayed on our website are quoted in U.S. dollars. While we try to ensure that all prices on the website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of the merchandise you have ordered, we will give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or canceling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will consider the order canceled.  Christopher Fischer accepts the following forms of payment for online purchases:

For your protection and security all credit card payments are made using an encrypted and secure payment gateway processor, and all credit card information is not stored.

Sales taxes are applicable on all orders delivered within New York State, and in accordance with Federal, State and County tax codes.

For International shipments of goods being shipped to a country outside of the USA, please note that the prices detailed online do not include local import taxes, duties or local sales taxes charged to enter into the destination country.


PROMOTIONAL CODES

A promotion code is a unique code that is used during the checkout process to apply a predetermined discount or discount award. Enter the promotion code in the “promotion code” field on the check out summary page during the check out process, and then click the button to activate the discount BEFORE clicking to “checkout.” The promotion discount will then be applied and shown as a deduction from your order total.

Only one promotional code may be used per order.

Christopher Fischer uses UPS or USPS to ship orders.

We offer Ground shipping, 2nd Day Air and Overnight shipping for all USA destination orders.

International orders are shipped globally with UPS WorldShip service or U.S. International Parcel services.

INSURANCE

Christopher Fischer insures the contents of each shipment from the time it leaves our warehouse and is in transit up to being delivered. Signature by an adult is required upon delivery, at which point responsibility for purchased goods passes on to the purchaser. If you have specified a recipient other than yourself, then you accept that evidence of a signature by that recipient, or any party at that delivery address is evidence of delivery by Christopher Fischer, and responsibility transfers to the purchaser in the same way.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

For orders being shipped outside of the United States, please be sure to use a valid street address and note that we cannot ship to PO or APO boxes. We cannot guarantee that international orders will ship the next business day since additional verifications are often necessary. Most shipments will be delivered within 6-10 business days; however, some shipments may take up to 3 weeks to arrive, dependent upon local customs clearance procedures and regional delivery times.

CUSTOMS DUTIES AND OTHER FEES

Please note that any shipping charges reflected on the site during the checkout process do not include taxes or duties charged on goods being shipped to a country outside of the USA. Any such custom duty, foreign taxes and clearance fees imposed to permit delivery are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. In order to comply with export regulations, we are required by U.S. law to declare the exact value of all items ordered and to mark them as dutiable "merchandise." Because we are a retailer, we are prohibited by law from stating your order is a "gift," even if the order is intended as a gift by its recipient. If any international delivery is refused or is undeliverable due to incorrect address information, both the original shipping costs and the return fees are the responsibility of the customer. These charges will be deducted from the total order refund once the goods are returned. In the event of a return or exchange item that has been shipped internationally, the purchaser will be responsible for all shipping charges that apply to the original shipment, plus all charges for the return and reshipment of an item that has been exchanged.

Call your local customs office for exact details of all import duties and sales taxes due locally on any imported purchases.

 

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

RETURN POLICY

Christopher Fischer wants to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase, and we strive to make your shopping experience on christopherfischer.com as pleasurable as possible.

Returns and exchanges are accepted according to the following Return Policy:

FULL PRICE items purchased on christopherfischer.com can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of their delivery accompanied by a valid Return Authorization Slip. (See below for details). Christopher Fischer offers free shipping on returns and exchanges on all FULL PRICE domestic orders.

SALE PRICE/CF CLUB FLASH SALE  items purchased on christopherfischer.com can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of their delivery accompanied by a valid Return Authorization Slip. (See below for details).

 

A Shipping and Restocking fee of $15 will be deducted from all SALE/CF CLUB FLASH SALE item returns. 


Items will only be accepted as valid returns for a refund or exchange if they are unworn, with all hangtags and the price tag fully attached to each individual returned item, and in the same “as new” condition as when the item was shipped. All items should be returned in their original, undamaged packaging. We do not accept returns on items that have been worn, altered, washed, or damaged in any way. Upon receipt of returned goods, christopherfischer.com reserves the right to deny a refund if the merchandise does not meet these Return Policy requirements as accepted at the time of purchase.

RETURNS & EXCHANGE PROCEDURES FOR ONLINE PURCHASES:

BY UPS OR USPS

Request a Return Authorization Slip by contacting Customer Services within 30 days for FULL PRICE goods, and 14 days for SALE goods from the date of receiving your order, either by emailing  customerservice@christopherfischer.com,  or by calling us on 1-888-CF GOATS  (1-888-234 6287).

You will receive an email Return Authorization by return with all the information you need to return the item. We will need your name and email address, a phone number to contact you, details of your purchase invoice, and details of the item that you wish to return or exchange.

A Return Authorization Slip must be obtained before returning any items. No refunds or credits will be given on items returned without a Return Authorization Number.

A return or exchange item must be shipped back to ChristopherFischer.com with UPS or USPS to the ‘return to’ address detailed on the Return Authorization Slip.

Return packages must be shipped Ground Shipping no later than 30 days for FULL PRICE goods, or 14 days for SALE goods, from the date of original purchase, and it is recommended that you save and retain all tracking numbers and shipping receipts of the return so you can track this package.

Returns and Exchanges are processed within 7 business days from the date of receipt.

You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed. Please allow up to 5 business days for the credit to be applied to your credit card account.

AT A CHRISTOPHER FISCHER STORE

Bring the item for return or exchange as well as the online purchase invoice and/or packing slip, plus the SAME credit card used to purchase the item, and present these to a sales associate who will provide you with a receipt of your returned item if it is a valid return or exchange.

A credit can only be made to the same credit card used for the original purchase, and this will be credited within 3-4 business days after the return.

Please note we are unable to accept returns to our online warehouse for an item purchased at a Christopher Fischer retail store, or any other independent retailer or website.

Refunds will only be issued to the same credit card used as was for the original purchase. Please note that original or return shipping charges are refunded according to the stated policy. We recommend that you insure all return packages in case of loss or damage. We are unable to accept COD returns. Please note that it may take up to ten business days for a refund to be processed.

It is the shipper’s responsibility to make claims for returned packages lost or damaged in transit. Christopher Fischer is not responsible for delays in shipping or delivery due to forces outside of our control such as weather. Christopher Fischer does not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that a return package is lost, stolen or mishandled.

Christopher Fischer reserves the right to refuse the return or exchange of any merchandise that does not meet the above return requirements at Christopher Fischer’s sole discretion.

All items are quality controlled and checked for faults before they are shipped to customers to ensure the quality of the goods shipped. Should you receive an item that is not in perfect condition please contact Customer Services with 5 days of receipt of the item.

EXCHANGES

If you would like to exchange a FULL PRICE item for another color or size, please specify your request by email to customerservice@christopherfischer.com or by calling us on 1-888-CF GOATS  (1-888-234 6287) so we can ensure that the new item is available. If we have the item in stock, we will hold it for you until your return is received. We will only accept returns for exchange if they meet all criteria for an acceptable return (see return policy). We will reship the FULL PRICE exchanged item to you at no additional charge.

Christopher Fischer accepts no responsibility that an item requested for exchange will be available and in stock.

EXCHANGE A GIFT

Christopher Fischer wishes to ensure you are totally happy with your gift.

In the event you wish to exchange your gift for another style, color or size, please email our Customer Services on customerservice@christopherfischer.com or by calling us on 1-888-CF GOATS  (1-888-234 6287).

Please specify details of the invoice or packing list number, and details of the gift you are returning.  Also detail a valid email address and contact phone number, and the address that the exchange should be sent to.

Christopher Fischer will exchange the items in accordance with the Return Policy stated above.  Please note that any item that is FINAL SALE or from a CF CLUB Flash Sale cannot be returned for exchange.

The shape, fit and proportion of Christopher Fischer garments vary from style to style, so our size charts are not standardized across all styles.

GIFT WRAP & GIFT CARD


Christopher Fischer gift cards that are valid to shop online, or in any Christopher Fischer retail store, are available for purchase as an option on our Product Details pages.

The gift card will be added to your shopping bag and you can proceed to checkout in the normal manner.  If you are sending the card to another person, fill out their details in the Shipping Address details, and the card will be sent directly to the giftee recipient. Instructions how to redeem your gift card will be included with the gift card.

Gift cards can be redeemed online by first selecting a style in the normal way of “purchasing” an item, and then entering the gift card number into the Promotional Code box on a Product Details page. Click to apply the gift card value, which will then show as a credit deducted from the total value of the selected item.  If your order is more than the amount of your gift card, you will need to enter your credit card information for any balance due. If it is less than the amount on your gift card, a My Account should be created and saved in the checkout process, and the remaining unused gift card amount will be credited to your account.


CHRISTOPHER FISCHER GIFT BOXES

Christopher Fischer can individually gift wrap your items in a Christopher Fischer Gift Box for an additional charge of $10.00 per gift box.  Items that are required to be gift-wrapped should be ordered separately, so the appropriate item is clearly itemized that gift-wrapping is required.

 

WISHLIST

The Christopher Fischer Wishlist allows our customers to select items from the Christopher Fischer online selection that they would like as gifts, and so allowing other people to view their selected favorite pieces and purchase these items as a gift.

 

CASHMERE CARE


Cashmere is one of the world’s most luxurious and soft natural fibers. All the cashmere used in a Christopher Fischer  garment comes from Inner Mongolia, a province in the north of China, and the principal source of the world’s finest qualities of raw pure white cashmere fiber.

Every Christopher Fischer Cashmere is the result of a combination of the most modern technology in the processing, spinning and knitting of the fiber and yarns, balanced with traditional hand knitting and hand finishing skills, and an individual care and attention to ensure that every Christopher Fischer Cashmere is nothing short of finest quality we can achieve.

And so, caring for your cashmere correctly is essential to maintaining your garment’s continued soft hand feel, luxurious quality and appearance. This starts with taking care when putting on or taking off your sweater not to overstretch the neck opening or any delicate seam, which could cause the yarn to break.

Cashmere is best hand washed by following these simple care instructions, otherwise you can also dry clean the garment, but we recommend you take the time to carefully hand wash your garment for the very best results.

CHRISTOPHER'S INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO HAND WASH YOUR SWEATER.

Wash each garment individually in cool, tepid water.  Use only a very small peanut size amount of Christopher Fischer Cashmere Shampoo, or any other high quality mild and low acidity shampoo. Do not use any bleach or harsh detergents, as this will remove the natural oils in the cashmere fiber, and so cause the garment to become harsh and brittle.

Gently and as quickly as possible squeeze the garment in the soapy water, but avoid rubbing or wringing the garment in this process, and do not let the garment soak in the water.

Then repeatedly rinse the garment in cool water until the water appears clean and clear of any soap. Gently squeeze out the excess water, but again do not wring.

If possible, put the garment into a lingerie wash bag or pillow case, and use your washing machine’s “spin only” cycle to remove any further excess water. Or you can place the garment flat onto a clean dry towel, and then roll it up in the towel applying pressure to squeeze out the excess water.

To dry, place the sweater flat on another clean and dry towel, pulling the garment into the desired shape and fit.  Make sure all the ribs and cuffs dry closed and tight together by gently pulling on these to close up the knitted ribs. Turn the garment over to dry on both sides.

Always dry in an airy place away from direct sunlight and away from radiators or any direct heat.

Once thoroughly dry, you can if you wish gently tumble the sweater at a low temperature in your dryer to make the fibers “bloom” and have a more lofty appearance and hand feel. To do this, turn the garment inside out and put it inside a pillowcase or lingerie wash bag, and tumble for a short time.  

When dry, pick off any pills or yarn balls, and then gently steam the garment to your desired shape.  Steaming will lift the top surface, but make sure not to directly iron and press the sweater, which could scorch the surface, and always steam through a clean cotton cloth to protect the sweater.

After pressing leave the sweater in an airy place to dry and cool.  Fold flat, preferably with just one fold and store, and never hang your sweater.

If you do decide to dry clean your sweater, ensure that the dry cleaner is experienced with cleaning cashmere and fine fabrics, and always tell them the sweater is cashmere.

Advise the cleaner of your preferred chest and length measurements, and request they block the sweater to your requested measurements.

When storing sweaters at the end of the season, always wash or dry clean the sweater first. Do not store anything unwashed. Then fold the sweater with acid free tissue paper in the fold. Do not store sweaters in plastic bags as the sweater needs to “breathe”. Store in a dark, airy place, and not smashed and squeezed into a drawer or cupboard. When storing for the summer, never use mothballs, only use lavender or rosemary sachets, or cedar blocks.
