Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Encryption

We use industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technologies when transferring and receiving customer data exchanged with our site server. All other data transfer is conducted through a secure phone line.

To make sure you are accessing our secure server before you submit personal financial information, look at the lower left-hand corner of your browser. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser), then SSL is active. To double-check for security, look at the URL or Location line of your browser. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from "http" to "https".

Credit Card Safety

Protecting the safety of your credit card information is important to us. We now require that you to enter your credit card's 3-4 digit security code (CVV). This helps prevent credit card fraud, as the code can only be found on the card itself.

When a customer gives us an e-mail address while placing an order, or when customers send us e-mail correspondence, we retain the visitor's e-mail address. However, we do not share our e-mail lists. We contact visitors by their e-mail address to confirm an online order, notify that an order has been shipped, or respond to a sender's e-mail query. We may periodically send you Christopher Fischer marketing materials if you sign up to receive. If you ask us to remove your name and address from promotional lists, we will maintain your name in a "do not contact" file to ensure that we can honor your request. It may take up to 10 days to process your e-mail request, and 6-8 weeks to process your postal mail request, during which period you may continue to receive communications from us.

Visitor-Keyed Information

We retain information provided by our customer, such as transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) and contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number). Click here to access this information.

On request with verification, we will give the customer a reminder with unique identifier information (e.g., customer number or password).
